Buriram United won their eighth Thai League title after defeating Leo Chiang Rai United 2-1 at Leo Chiangrai Stadium in the Thai League 1 2022/23.
Buriram dominated this game. They came in with back-to-back opportunities until they nailed it.
Buriram received a corner kick from the left side in the 30th minute, which was taken by Theerathorn Bunmathan, who opened a lovely set piece into the penalty area. Pansa Hemviboon headed the ball, but it was obstructed, and Goran Causic landed a nice shot straight into the net, giving Buriram the 1-0 lead.
However, the first half ended with Buriram United ahead 1-0 and there were a number of attempts after the first goal.

In the 68th minute of the game, just a few seconds after the more than 30-minute break, Buriram United received a free kick in the corner. Theerathon Bunmathan took it, and Pansa Hemviboon headed it into the net without giving the goalkeeper a chance, giving Buriram a 2-0 lead.
Kim Ji-Min, however, received a through pass in the 71st minute and had to past Buriram’s goalie Siwarak Tedsungnoen to score, making the score 1-2. Everyone believed he was offside, but he didn’t waste the opportunity.
Chiangrai had an opportunity towards the conclusion of the game when Victor Cardoso headed a cross, but Siwarak Tedsungnoen, a renowned Buriram goalie, stopped him.
Buriram United won the match 2-1, thereby securing their championship for the current campaign.
